GV Engineering welcomes new welding and fabrication apprentice

GV Engineering is pleased to welcome Euan Inglis to the team as its newest apprentice, as the company continues to invest in developing the next generation of skilled engineers.

Euan is currently studying Welding & Fabrication at Ashington College, attending on a day-release basis alongside his practical training at GV Engineering’s workshop. This combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience will give Euan the opportunity to develop his technical knowledge while gaining valuable experience in a real working environment.

For GV Engineering, apprenticeships are an important part of its long-term approach to workforce development. By supporting young people at the beginning of their careers, the company is helping to develop the specialist skills and knowledge needed within the welding and fabrication industry.

Euan will work alongside the experienced team at GV Engineering, gaining exposure to different aspects of the workshop environment and putting the skills he develops at college into practice.

As well as building technical ability, the apprenticeship will provide Euan with the opportunity to develop his confidence, problem-solving skills and understanding of working within a professional engineering environment.

“We’re really pleased to welcome Euan to the team,” said John Priest, Operations Manager. “Apprenticeships are a great way to bring new talent into the industry, while giving young people the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers and develop their skills in a practical environment. We’re looking forward to supporting Euan throughout his apprenticeship and seeing how he develops over the coming years.”

Euan’s appointment reflects GV Engineering’s continued commitment to investing in its people and supporting the future of the engineering and fabrication sector.

Welcome to the team, Euan! 👏
